What were the challenges?
In 2022, the PUCP faced a series of challenges related to certification. Certification management was manual and laborious. This made the process of issuing paper certificates slow and expensive. Additionally, verification of certificates was difficult and unreliable, as certificates could be forged or altered. Lastly, certificates were not easily accessible to employers or organizations, as paper certificates were difficult to share and verify.
Why did you decide to use Digital Credentials?
The PUCP decided to implement Digital Credentials to overcome these challenges. Digital Credentials are digital certificates that are secure, verifiable and easily accessible. Therefore Acreditta was chosen by the PUCP to issue and manage Digital Credentials in an efficient and secure manner.
How has its implementation been?
The implementation of Digital Credentials at PUCP has been a success, with more than 10.000 Digital Credentials issued to students, teachers and alumni. The benefits achieved by the PUCP with the implementation of these Digital Credentials are notable:
