FAQ

Acreditta is the platform that allows the creation and management of all types of digital recognition formats: badges, certificates, and electronic diplomas. We help universities, educational institutions, training centers, and companies digitize the recognition of skills and achievements in an innovative format that is easy to share on professional networks like LinkedIn, interoperable with global standards like W3C Verifiable Credentials 2.0 and Open Badge 3.0, blockchain-secured, and verifiable in real time.

Digital Credentials are verifiable evidence of a certificate, diploma, or badge that validate knowledge, skills, competencies, or achievements. Unlike traditional paper or PDF certificates, Acreditta’s Digital Credentials are backed by blockchain and follow global standards like W3C Verifiable Credentials 2.0 and Open Badge 3.0, ensuring immutability, traceability, and immediate verification.

They are verifiable digital representations of a skill, learning experience, or achievement earned through courses, programs, or recognition activities. They consist of two parts:

  • The badge: An image that graphically represents the achievement.
  • Metadata: Specific data that validates origin, issuer, authenticity, and other relevant characteristics.

Digital Credentials offer multiple advantages: they are tamper-proof, instantly verifiable, portable, reduce administrative costs, eliminate the risk of physical loss, increase visibility on professional networks like LinkedIn, facilitate interoperability with other systems, and have a positive environmental impact.

Our platform is designed for any organization that needs to issue verifiable credentials, such as universities, training centers, companies with training programs, professional associations, event organizers, and more.

The platform allows you to create, issue, and verify digital credentials using blockchain technology. Issuers (organizations) can design and issue customized credentials, while recipients (students or professionals) can store them in their digital skills wallet and share them securely. Verifiers (employers) can instantly verify the authenticity of any credential issued through Acreditta.

The process is intuitive and simple. You can create custom templates with your visual identity, import recipient data from Excel or CSV, configure each credential, and issue them with just a few clicks.

You can also issue them in bulk or individually. Integration with your virtual learning platform, CRM, or student information system is possible through APIs.

You can issue various types of credentials: diplomas, certificates, and digital badges. The platform is flexible to adapt to your specific needs. Additionally, you can attach a printable PDF certificate to each credential, designed with your organization’s identity.

Yes, as the issuer, you can revoke a previously issued credential if necessary (e.g., in case of fraud). The revocation is recorded on the blockchain, and any future verification will indicate that the credential is no longer valid.

No. When your organization registers on our cloud platform, you can issue credentials using a simple flat file, such as an Excel or CSV file. If you have your own system or LMS, you can integrate it using our API.

Each recipient receives an email where they must accept their credential. They can then share it on any social network, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter, or attach it to emails or documents (PDF, Word, etc.). There’s no need to create an Acreditta account; the process is quick and easy.

Yes, users can add their Digital Credentials directly to their LinkedIn profile and also share their achievements in a post that appears in their feed.

Acreditta has a verification process to validate each organization as an authorized issuer. Several steps must be completed during registration to authenticate the organization as a legitimate entity.

All data belongs exclusively to the client. Our services are based on a Privacy Agreement governed by strict security policies.

By using blockchain technology, each digital credential issued by Acreditta receives a cryptographic signature recorded in an immutable distributed ledger. This creates a unique digital seal (hash) that guarantees the authenticity and integrity of each credential, making it tamper-proof while keeping recipient information private.

Acreditta works with LACChain, a blockchain infrastructure supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). This strategic partnership allows us to offer a robust and reliable infrastructure adapted to formal project contexts.

Blockchain enables decentralized and permanent credential validation without relying on third parties, preventing fraud and forgery. It also saves time and money in cumbersome manual verification processes.

Absolutely. Security is our priority. Each credential has a unique digital signature that cannot be altered or forged. We also implement strict privacy standards to protect the personal data of both issuers and recipients.

Anyone can verify an Acreditta credential’s authenticity through our public verifier. Simply access the credential’s link or QR code. The system instantly compares the data with the blockchain record to confirm it has not been altered since issuance.

It is technically impossible to modify a credential once registered on the blockchain. Any alteration attempt would change the credential’s unique hash, which would be immediately detected during verification and render the credential invalid.

Acreditta offers a free plan with 249 credits at no cost and no time limit, so you can test the platform. For broader needs, we offer subscription plans tailored to various volumes and requirements. You can also request a quote.

Credits are the unit of value within our platform. They are mainly used to issue Digital Credentials. Each credential consumes a specific number of credits depending on its features and complexity.

We offer two main subscription models:

  • Per user: Ideal for organizations with a fixed number of users/students who need unlimited certifications during the subscription year.
  • Per credential: For those who prefer to pay based on the number of credentials issued.

Yes, we offer tiered discounts depending on the number of credentials you issue. Contact our team to learn about pricing.

If you’re on an Enterprise plan, you cannot switch models during the subscription year. For other plans, you can contact our support team to explore your options.

When your credits are about to run out, you’ll receive notifications so you can buy more or upgrade your plan. If they run out completely, you’ll still have access to the platform and your issued credentials, but you won’t be able to issue new ones until you recharge.

They are more granular than traditional degrees and allow recognition of concrete learning, facilitating lifelong learning and professional development.

Micro-credentials provide formal recognition of specific skills, greater educational flexibility, immediate validation of competencies for employers, personalized learning, and they form a digital portfolio demonstrating ongoing professional development.

Micro-credentials allow professionals to quickly and verifiably demonstrate specific skills, making it easier to access job opportunities and promoting continuous education.
