Acreditta external tool configuration

With Moodle already configured (previous step) and the LTI Token you copied in step 2, connect the external tool from Acreditta.

Add the external tool

  1. Go to Integrations → External Tools.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Lms selector, choose Moodle.

You’ll see these fields:

Field Where it comes from
Name The name you want to give this Moodle instance inside Acreditta.
LMS URL Your Moodle instance’s base URL.
Client ID The Client ID Moodle assigned when registering the LTI 1.3 tool (step 3 of the Moodle configuration).
Token URL https://your-moodle/mod/lti/token.php
Login URL https://your-moodle/mod/lti/auth.php
Keyset URL https://your-moodle/mod/lti/certs.php
LTI Token The token you copied in step 2 of the Moodle configuration.

You’ll also see the Send notification checkbox: enable it if you want Acreditta to email each earner notifying them of their digital credential as soon as it’s issued from this course.

  1. Click Save.

⚠️ Important: this form no longer asks you to create a separate API user and key — all the data you need comes from the LTI 1.3 configuration in Moodle from the previous step.

Once saved, the integration will appear in Acreditta’s External Tools list, with the option to edit it, view the issuance log, or delete it.

At this point you can already configure your credentials in Moodle to enable issuance through this integration.
