Verifying a digital credential

Anyone, whether or not they have an Acreditta Wallet, can verify a digital credential’s authenticity.

  1. Open the credential’s public page (the link that was shared with you, or the “View my credential” link from a Wallet).
  2. Click Verify.
  3. The platform confirms the credential’s status in real time against its blockchain record and shows you the result.

You can also verify a credential by scanning its QR code when available (for example, on a Google Wallet or Apple Wallet pass, or on the PDF record).

🔎 Note: verifying a credential doesn’t require logging into any account. Verification works the same way for the earner themselves, the issuer, or a third party (for example, a recruiter).
