Create an achievement template

The template creation form is the same for all 31 credential types. No field is hidden or becomes required depending on the type you choose: you decide what to fill in based on what you recognize. Only fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

On the right of the form you’ll see a preview with the type label, the seal, the record design and the credential name. It updates as you fill in the fields and stays in place when you scroll.

Credential type and basic data

  • Credential type (*): preselected with the type you chose in the modal; you can change it here without losing what you already wrote. The type’s description shows on the right. See Credential categories and types.
  • Credential name (*): concise, direct and clear about what you recognize.
Example: Generative Artificial Intelligence Specialist, Salesperson of the Year 2026, Speaker at the ABC Congress.
  • Description (*): describes the Earner’s profile as a result of completing the accreditation. We suggest starting like this: “The earner is able to…”.
  • Credential seal: the image that graphically represents the credential. Click Search seal to upload it. It is optional; if you upload it, it must be a PNG of at least 400×400 and at most 1200×1200 pixels, and weigh at most 10 MB.
  • Select a record design: choose the PDF design the Earner will be able to download. Click Search more to search all your designs, or Remove selection if the credential has no record. Create them first in Certificate design.

🔎 Note: a rectangular seal or one with small text becomes unreadable at the reduced size the credential shows on LinkedIn. Prefer a square image.

Skills and additional information

  • Skills: knowledge or competencies the credential certifies. Type a few letters and the catalog suggests options; if the one you need doesn’t exist, type it in full and press ENTER. Use 2-3 keywords per skill.
  • Criterion (*): what the Earner had to meet. Write it starting with a verb. You need at least one and can add up to 10 with Add another criterion +; remove one with the X. Criteria you leave empty are discarded when you save.
Example: Complete 100% of the modules, Present and pass a final project, Obtain a minimum grade of 90/100.
  • Standard and Standard link: legal, educational, methodological or international frameworks the credential is based on. You can add up to 10 with Add another standard +.
    Example: ISO/IEC 42001 (Artificial Intelligence Management) — www.iso.org/standard/81230.html
  • Credential code: alphanumeric code that identifies the credential within your organization.
  • Link with more information about this credential: public page of the program, course or event. It drives traffic to your organization every time an Earner shares their credential.

Academic context and template properties

  • Academic context (optional, collapsed by default): Field of study, Program, Faculty, Campus and Result type. Recommended for credentials tied to a formal academic program, such as those in the Academic Degrees and Diplomas category; for badges, achievements, certifications or licenses it is usually left empty.
  • Credential language: the language of the Earner’s experience (Spanish, English or Portuguese). Write the template information in that same language.
  • Tags: internal categories based on your organization’s recognition map.
Example: Continuing Education, Teacher Training, Innovation School.
  • Allow multiple issuances to the same earner: leave it off if a person can’t hold this recognition twice; this prevents issuing it by mistake to someone who already has it. Turn it on, for example, for a certification that renews every year.
  • Combine the attachment with the PDF record: if the issuance includes an attachment, it is added at the end of the record PDF as extra pages, besides showing as a button on the credential.

Save or create the template

  1. Create template: creates the template and leaves it ready to issue. If a required field is missing, the form takes you to the first error.
  2. Save draft: saves your progress to keep editing later. You can’t issue with it until you create it.

⚠️ Important: the How to earn this credential? field no longer exists in the form and is not shown on the credential’s public page.

The more complete the information, the higher the quality of the credential.
