Silent issuance (no email notification)

By default, every time you grant a credential — individually, in bulk, or when correcting one already issued — the platform sends a notification email to the earner. If your organization prefers to announce the achievement through its own channel (for example, at a live ceremony or through an internal channel), you can turn off that notification without skipping the issuance itself.

How to turn it off

In the Individual sending form, Bulk sending, or when updating an issued credential, uncheck the Send email notification box — it’s checked by default — before clicking Grant credential (or saving your changes, if you’re correcting a credential).

In Bulk sending, the checkbox applies to the whole batch: none of the credentials in that file will send an email notification.

What happens when you turn it off

When you click Grant credential with the box unchecked, the platform shows a personal acceptance link for you to share with the earner through your own channel.

⚠️ Important: this link is personal and non-transferable — it shouldn’t be shared with anyone other than the corresponding earner.

Can I retrieve that link later, even if I already closed the modal? Yes. Go to Digital credentials → Issued credentials → All issuances, find that credential’s row, and open the three-dot menu () under Actions — you’ll find Acceptance link there at any time, regardless of whether the issuance was silent or not.

🔎 Note: if you also set up a WhatsApp number for that earner, the notification goes out immediately via WhatsApp instead of email — it doesn’t wait for the 72-hour automatic reminder used by the normal flow.

Silent issuance via API

If you issue credentials via API instead of through the platform, the same behavior is controlled with the "sendNotification": true (or false for silent issuance) parameter in the issuance payload. See the API documentation for the endpoint’s details.
