Create a digital credential collection

A digital credential collection lets you group several templates together so that, once an earner completes all of them, a final credential is automatically granted. This is useful for learning paths made up of prerequisite badges or certificates that unlock a capstone credential.

How it works

• The templates that make up the collection act as prerequisites: they’re issued manually, one by one, as the earner completes each step.
• Once all prerequisites have been issued to an earner, the final credential is granted automatically — you don’t need to issue it by hand.

Steps to create a collection

1. Go to Create recognition template.
2. Select Digital credential collection.
3. Choose the templates that will act as prerequisites for the collection.
4. Choose the template that will act as the final credential.
5. Click Create collection.

⚠️ Important: make sure the prerequisite templates already exist before creating the collection — you’ll need to select them from your existing template catalog.
